The Sinclair Family has established a Memorial Fund at St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto, in memory of Patricia Sinclair Goodfellow, who passed away in September 2018 after a three-year battle with breast cancer. Patricia and her five siblings were all born at St. Mike's.
Patricia had a great love of children and of babies. It is fitting therefore that the Fund be somehow linked to the care of children. This led us to the new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) within the new Gilgan Tower at St. Mike's. Donations to the Patricia Sinclair Goodfellow Fund will go towards this new state-of-the-art NICU.
All donations to the Fund received until December 31, 2019 will be matched by an anonymous donor - your donation will be doubled under this arrangement.
Of further interest, Patricia's mother, Jean (a nursing graduate of St. Michael's Hospital), has been a volunteer in the current NICU for the past three years. Her job is to 'cuddle' preemies in the unit's rocking chair.
