Hi everyone!
For those of you who know my family, you'll know that my dad has been a family physician in Ontario for over 30 years. This pandemic has not only changed our lives, as it has with so many others, but has made the threat of the virus to our frontline workers more salient.
For this reason, I am fundraising for The Courage Fund to support frontline workers at St. Michael's Hospital and the vulnerable communities they serve.
In addition to raising funds, I am selling art I made during quarantine to support our frontline workers! These pieces focus on the simple things in life and enjoying little pleasures. This mindset has helped me get through this challenging time, and I hope these pieces do the same for you. You can find them on Instagram @paint.easel.
All proceeds from the sale of these pieces will go towards The Courage Fund!
How is the Courage Fund supporting frontline staff and vulnerable people?
This will provide St. Michael’s frontline staff or those who have contracted COVID-19 with food and other essentials to keep them going.
For our most vulnerable community members this will help get food vouchers, medicines, warm clothing, toiletries and phones and data plans (because physical distancing should not mean social disconnection).
For our homeless patients who test positive for COVID-19, this will help secure a space with access to St. Michael’s top-notch health-care teams so they can have a safe place to get treated and recover and we can slow, or halt, the community spread of the disease.
Plus: ALL GIFTS WILL BE MATCHED DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR, UP TO $3 MILLION.
Together we can support our community and the people who keep us all healthy and safe!
Thanks for your support!
-Nicole :)
