URBAN ANGEL GOLF CLASSIC

On Wednesday July 19th, St. Michael's Foundation hosted its 30th annual Urban Angel Golf Classic presented by Middelfield. The event raised a total of $1,000,000 net for urgent care needs at St. Michael's Hospital. This is the tournament’s 11th year of raising $1Million Net! Congratulations to Golf Chair Mike Thompson & the rest of the Golf Committee.

FOURTH ANNUAL ELIZABETH KREHM MEMORIAL CONCERT

Date:  Monday, November 14th, 2016 

On Tuesday, November 17th, the Krehm family hosted the 4th Elizabeth Kremn Memorial concert at the Metropolitan United Church (56 Queet Street E.). This marked he fourth anniversary of Elizabeth's death. All proceeds from the concert have been donated to the ICU at St. Michael's Hospital, where Elizabeth spent the last month of her life.

 

MALACHY’S SOIREE

Date: Thursday, September 29th, 2016

On Thursday, September 29th, guests enjoyed a fabulous evening with outstanding food and cocktails, unforgettable entertainment and unique surprises! Funds raised at Malachy’s Soiree were in support of St. Michael’s Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). With close to $500,000 gross in proceeds raised and 450 guests in attendance, this spectacular night was a huge success!


CARDIAC CARE CLASSIC GOLF & GIVE TOURNAMENT

Date: Sunday, September 18th, 2016

On Sunday, September 18th, supporters of the Cardiac Care Classic enjoyed a day of golf in support of the Heart and Vascular program (Dr. Subodh Verma and his team) at St. Michael’s Hospital. The 8th Annual Cardiac Care Classic was held at the Angus Glen Golf Club.

OUT OF THE ROUGH

On September 15th, Michael’s Hospital Head Injury Clinic hosted their 14th annual Out of the Rough Golf Tournament with all proceeds from the event supporting those affected by mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI).The day’s festivities included: golfing on a fabulous course at the Angus Glen Golf Club, competitions for exciting prizes, friendly games and savory delicious foods!

NORDSTROM OPENING GALA: EATON CENTRE

The Nordstrom Eaton Centre Opening Gala took place on Wednesday, September 14th, 2016. This event raised over $270,000 which will benefit 6 local charities, including St. Michael’s Hospital.


URBAN ANGEL GOLF CLASSIC

On Wednesday July 20th, St. Michael's Foundation 29th annual Urban Angel Golf Classic presented by Middlfield Group took place! This event raised more than $1,050,000 net for St. Michael's - driving us to surpass our $1 million net target for the tenth consecutive year. This year marks a very special milestone, as we have now raised 10 million dollars in 10 yearsCongratulations to event co-chairs Mike Thompson & John Manning aand to all of the tournament winners. This tournament was a great success!

 

YOGA FUNDRAISING EVENT

On May 7th the Sivananda International Toronto Chapter hosted a fundraising yoga event in support of St. Michael's Hospital Emergency Department. Participants enjoyed a morning of mindfull yoga, meditation and chanting. With the support of generous donors, the event raised over $5,000

 

SHELLEY PETERSON BOOK LAUNCH

Date: Tuesday, February 9th, 2016

On February 9th, St. Michael's Foundation welcomed best-selling author of young adult novels, Shelley Peterson by hosting a cocktail style book launch. The event was a huge success with over 250 members of the hospital and community joining us for this special evening. This event raised $7,000 in support of St. Michael’s Inner City Health Program!


CREATIVE WORKS STUDIO’S 2nd ANNUAL BOWLATHON

Date: Sunday, February 7, 2016

St. Michael’s Creative Works Studio (CWS) held their 2nd Annual Bowlathon Fundraiser on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Bathurst Bowlerama and raised a total of $10,000! Participants had a ball at this foot shuffling, friendly and fun event in support of arts-based occupational therapy programming at CWS. Prizes were awarded to the top fundraisers and best costumes.


THE GIVER: SMH YOUNG LEADER'S ANNUAL GALA

On Saturday, November 21st, over 450 young professionals came together at The Giver in support of St. Michael's Hospital for a night of open bar, flavourful food, a spin on the dance floor and, as always, a little something unexpected! 

Guest at this year’s event celebrated a major milestone for St. Michael's Young Leaders (SMYL). 2015 marks the year that SMYL completed their four-year pledge to raise $1 million for the St. Michael's Hospital Inspire 2018 campaign, helping fund the development of a new state-of-the-art Slaight Family Emergency Department and Peter Gilgan Patient Care Tower


3RD ANNUAL WELL LIVING HOUSE FUNDRAISER: RESEARCH AS RECONCILIATION

On Thursday, November 19th, The Well Living House hosted  their 3rd annual fundraising event. This year’s event excitingly marked the launch of the Research as Reconciliation Fundraising Campaign.  The event raised over $15,000 to support the launch of the St. Michael’s Hospital Indigenous Health and Wellbeing Resource Lodge.

FUNDRAISING EVENT FOR ST. MICHAEL'S MEDICALSURGICAL ICU

Date: Monday, November 16th, 2015

On Monday, November 16th the Krehm family hosted the 3rd Elizabeth Krehm Memorial concert at the Metropolitan United Church, marking the third anniversary of Elizabeth’s death.

This year featured an arrangement of the Mahler 2nd symphony conducted by Evan Mitchell, joined by the Pax Christie Chorale and soloists Rachel Krehm and Michele Bodganowicz.

Over $11,000 was raised in support of the Medical Surgical ICU at St. Michael's Hospital.

SCOTIABANK TORONTO WATERFRONT MARATHON

Date: Sunday, October 18th, 2015

On Sunday, October 18th employees and supporters of the St. Michael’s Hospital participated in the 2015 Scotiabank Marathon Charity Challenge in support of urgent care needs at the hospital. Runners participated in the Full Marathon (42.2k), Half Marathon (21.1k) walk/run and the 5K walk/run.

Thank you to all of our generous donors and supports who helped us raise over $4,500.00 at this year’s marathon!

McGEE-CLARK FUNDRAISER

On Thursday, October 18th the McGee-Clark committee hosted their 13th annual McGee-Clark Fundraiser at P.J. O’Brien's Irish Pub. Over 50 guests joined “the boys” for a night of entertainment, delicious food and most of all, great company!

CARDIAC CARE CLASSIC GOLF & GIVE TOURNAMENT

Date: Sunday, September 20th, 2015

On Sunday, September 20th, supporters of the Cardiac Care Classic enjoyed a day of golf in support of the Heart and Vascular program (Dr. Subodh Verma and his team) at St. Michael’s Hospital. The 7th Annual Cardiac Care Classic was held at the Angus Glen Golf Club.

The purchase of a ticket to the tournament included: a day of golf, a bagged lunch, golf shirt, swag bag, door prize ballot, green fees, a golf cart and a heart-healthy sit-down dinner. Other items available at the event included tickets for the raffle, auction and putting contests.

THE DODGER

Date: Thursday, September 10th, 2015

On Thursday September 10th, St. Michael’s Young Leaders (SMYL) hosted their 7th annual charity dodgeball tournament at Steam Whistle Brewery and raised a net total of $175K. Young professionals gathered to dodge, duck, dive and donate in support of St. Michael’s Hospital. This event proved to be a lot of fun and a great success! 

 

OUT OF THE ROUGH GOLF TOURNAMENT

Date: Thursday, September 10th, 2015

MALACHY'S SOIREE

On July 25th, the O’Reilly Wilks Family hosted Malachy’s Soiree in support of St. Michael’s Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This event included a live auction, silent auction, dancing, cocktails,
hors d’oeuvres and much more. The event raised $130,000 in support of St. Michael’s NICU!

CHARTWELL GUILDWOOD BBQ FUNDRAISER

On Saturday, July 25th, the Chartwell Guildwood Retirement Residence hosted a BBQ fundraiser in support of Cancer Care at St. Michael’s Hospital. Staff and residence enjoyed an afternoon of food and great entertainment provided by a six-piece swing band- Dinny and the Allstars.

HEALING CYCLE RIDE

Date: Sunday, June 21st, 2015

On Sunday, June 21st cyclists across the city joined the St. Michael’s team as they pedaled to raise funds for Palliative Care. Thank you to Dr. Trinkaus and the rest of the St. Michael’s Healing Cycle team for raising over $2,700 at this year’s event!

THE DUFFER GOLF TOURNAMENT 

Date: Tuesday, June 9, 2015

On Tuesday, June 9th The St. Michael’s Young Leaders hosted their 5th Annual Duffer Golf Tournament at Station Creek Golf Club.

With a total attendance of 280 golfers, the tournament reached new heights in its success bringing in a net total of $110,000!

HERMES CHARITY SILK SALE

On Thursday April 23rd, the Hermes Charity Silk Sale took place at the Merto Toronto Convention Centre. Many came out to support Multiple Sclerosis research at St. Michael’s by purchasing fabulous Hermes scarves, ties, enamels and leather goods. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the MS Clinic here at St. Michael’s.

SQUIRES-HYLAND TRUST DINNER

On April 20th supporters of the Squires-HylandTrust were invited to gather in celebration of he 40th and Final Suires-Hyland Trust Annual Dinner.
 
Founded in 1974, the Trust honored the legacy of Dr. Arthur H. Squires and the leadership of Dr. Robert H. Hyland in advancing the work of the Trust.
 
The Squires-Hyland Trust was initiated to promote “The Art and Science of Medicine”. The Board of the Trust has fulfilled its mission through the support of various medical programs and initiatives over the last 40 years. Their efforts have helped to maintain the former Wellesley Hospital and St. Michael’s Hospital’s standard of excellence in health care, teaching and research.

LAUGHS FOR CHARITY

On Friday, March 13th, friends and colleagues came out and enjoyed an evening of laughter and charity! Hosted by comedian Eric Bell, Laughs for Charity took place at Diner 120 (120 Church Street, Toronto). The event lineup included a combination of stand-up, improv and sketch comedy performed by local Toronto comedians. Proceeds from the event were donated to St. Michael's Foundation Angel Care Fund.
 
AN AFTERNOON AT THE OPERA

On Sunday February 8th, 2015, Sandra Tang hosted an afternoon at the Opera featuring all-time favourite arias and repertoire. With all proceeds going to the St. Michael’s Foundation, we are thrilled to announce that over $11,000 was raised that evening.
These funds will support the St. Michael's current campaign, Inspire 2018 in which we will improve patient care facilities in order to keep pace with demand and evolving standards. The ultimate goal is to make St. Michael's Hospital the premier critical care hospital in Canada!

 
CREATIVE WORKS STUDIO BOWLATHON

On Friday, October 24th, the Wings of Hope hosted its 9th annual Dinner Dance at Le Parc (8432 Leslie Street in Thornhill, ON). The event was held in support of Cancer Care at St. Michael's Hospital.
Tickets were $100 each and included a fabulous five-course meal, open bar, entertainment, and live & silent auctions.

ANGEL BALL

The Angel Ball Gala presented by Scotiabank featured 1,600 guests who joined us on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre for this fall’s most spectacular fundraiser in support of a new Emergency Department for St. Michael’s Hospital.

Thank you to our Co-Chairs: Anatol & Alison von Hahn, Joe Natale & Melissa Martin, Tony & Lina Gagliano and the entire Angel Ball Cabinet Committee for making this year’s Gala our most successful one yet! With the support of generous sponsorships and donations, this year’s event raised a net value of 3.5 million dollars.

The proceeds raised will be put towards our $30 million commitment to double the size of our current Emergency Department and create a best-in-class, leading-edge facility to serve our city into the future. This is an important priority as St. Michael’s Hospital becomes the premier critical care hospital in Canada.
